When new owners recently took over Lifestyle on Kloof they didn't just pocket the keys and continue with business as usual – they rolled up their sleeves and started a thorough renovation process that would allow the centre to live up to its potential.
Although Lifestyle on Kloof has always had a very loyal local customer base, the renovations and alterations were aimed at further streamlining and developing the existing service offering to appeal to a broader audience.
Changes that were made include:
• A more streamlined parking system. The new owners worked closely with centre management and Interpark to tailor a user-friendly parking system to suit the needs of both Lifestyle on Kloof and their customers. This involved an upgrade to the ticketing system and the installation of machines that allow customers to pay for their parking before they get into their cars, thereby easing the traffic congestion that would normally occur during peak hours.
• A thorough renovation of the existing building infrastructure. This included improvements to the public bathrooms, servicing of air conditioning units throughout the building, as well a complete overhaul of the centre aesthetic. The whole building was repainted (inside and out) and wood paneling was added in strategic areas. Other subtle additions to the décor include planters and benches that provide meet-and-greet seating areas throughout the centre.
We look forward to continued improvements to Lifestyle on Kloof as the new owners settle in for the long haul.
